Leo Full Moon

Leo Full Moon

February opens with a Full Moon in Leo on the1st, illuminating matters of the Heart, creative expression, passion, joy, love, children, and the part of you that longs to be seen—not for performance, but for the truth and essence of who you are.

This lunation carries the Sabian symbol, “cherub like, a human soul whispers, seeking to manifest”

There’s something newly alive within you—a soul-level impulse asking for form.

After the heavy shedding of the Snake year, the long completion cycle of a Year 9, along with Neptune’s historic move from Pisces to Aries, this Leo Full Moon arrives in a Year 1—a true beginning.  Something is being born through you, not just for you. And it’s been gestating quietly, vulnerably, and now it demands expression.

No More Half-Hearted Agreements

Juno in Capricorn quincunx the Full Moon

Juno, goddess of commitment and long-term bonds, forms a tense aspect to this Leo Moon from Capricorn. This suggests necessary adjustments in relationships, contracts, and commitments—especially those that have lasted a long time or once felt “set in stone.”

What once worked may now feel subtly—but unmistakably—misaligned.

This is not about dramatic endings, it’s about being involved in alliances that are authentic and in alignment.

No more half-ass compromises that leave you feeling shortchanged in your own life. No more agreements that ask you to abandon your heart out of obligation or in order to be responsible, reliable, or accepted.

This Full Moon brings to light which commitments can actually support who you’re becoming.

Authenticity is structural here—not reckless. This is about building commitments that can endure because they are real and in alignment with who you are in your heart of hearts.

The Leo–Aquarius Axis

The Individual Heart vs. the Collective Field

Across the sky, a powerful gathering of planets in Aquarius dominates:
the
Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Vesta, and Pluto cluster together—amplifying themes of HUmanity, awakening, frequency, technology, networks, and collective identity.

This creates a tension that’s palpable—this Full Moon feels like a face-off. Leo is about personal truth, things close to your heart, your creativity, and self-expression, while Aquarius demands participation in the collective, the future, the whole.

It’s about creating a balance between being the main character in your own life and contributing your gifts while participating in the collective without abandoning yourself and getting lost in the crowd.

Vesta, very close to the Sun (the ruler of this lunation), highlights devotion, vows, and sacred focus. In Aquarius, this speaks to collective commitment, collective purpose and identity—what we are willing to tend together, what we agree to protect, sustain, and give energy to.

Pluto nearby ups the ante. This isn’t abstract—it’s deeply felt.   This is a collective death and rebirth —a reckoning with power, control, awakening, and responsibility.

Nothing changes unless we show up—we are the Ones we’ve been waiting for.

The collective doesn’t move on its own. It moves through our attention (Sun), energy, action and participation (Mars), values, desires and creations (Venus), and shared perception (Mercury).

What we focus on is what gets built.

This Leo Full Moon feels like the emotional and creative ignition point—the heart lighting up before the fire breaks loose.

The Eclipse Portal is Open & This Full Moon Is a Gateway

This Leo Full Moon is especially significant as it precedes the Ring of Fire New Moon Solar Eclipse, which also coincides with the Chinese New Year—the Year of the Fire Horse mid-month. This is not subtle symbolism at all.

The Fire Horse is associated with:

  • fierce independence
  • raw vitality
  • momentum
  • risk, courage, and revolution

Within this window: Saturn enters Aries on February 13, beginning a brand-new 29-year cycle of responsibility, leadership, and will. And a Lunar Eclipse follows on March 3rd, intensifying revelations, endings, and emotional truth.

We are standing in a compressed timeline of initiation. Old systems are not just crumbling—they are losing any relevance and seen for what they are. While at the same time, new identities are not fully formed—but they are insisting on being brought to life.

From Dream to Will

All of this unfolds as Neptune moves into Aries just days before this lunation —after taking its last breath in Pisces —a transit that has defined the last 14 years with fog, longing, spiritual searching, disillusionment, and deep training in intuition and otherworldliness.

Pisces taught us how to feel into the whole— an immersive experience into the unknown, unseen and unsaid, but now Aries demands action and embodiment.

This Full Moon marks the handoff: the dream is done dreaming — now it wants to come into existence.

We are not in ordinary times.
These are initiatory times—personally and collectively.

This Leo Full Moon comes in handing you courage, passion and follow through.

This Full Moon Wants You to:

  • Let something new be born without demanding it be fully formed
  • Choose what—and who—you give your energy to, because that is what you are helping to create
  • Adjust commitments so they can actually support your becoming
  • Stay human, heart-led, and present inside massive collective change

The Days That Follow: Energy Begins to Move

This Leo Full Moon sets things in motion, and the days immediately following offer meaningful openings.

February 2 – Mercury in Aquarius sextile Chiron in Aries

Conversations open doors that hadn’t been accessible before and words hit differently now. Connections can form through social networks, groups, online spaces, and community ties.  Mercury here acts like a messenger at the doorstep —showing you where to step in, who to talk to, or how to frame something so it can be accepted. This is not about force or persuasion—it’s about finding the right point of entry. This influence can bring healing through honest dialogue, enabling you to share your ideas without armoring up. Sometimes the best remedy is saying the thing out loud that needs to be said.

February 3 – Uranus Stations Direct

This is a significant energetic shift. What’s been rumbling beneath the surface over the last few months begins to move forward—sometimes suddenly. This is when the outer world begins to catch up with the quiet inner recalibrations you’ve been working on around values, security, self-worth and your awakening sense of awareness.

February 4 – Venus in Aquarius sextile Chiron in Aries

Support comes through wider social circles, allies, and connections you may not have considered “close,” but who play a key role in helping you move forward.

Venus and Chiron soften old wounds around:

  • belonging
  • friendship
  • collaboration
  • being accepted for who you really are

This aspect favors:

  • healing conversations in relationships
  • renegotiating terms in a way that feels more fair
  • discovering loopholes or creative solutions where things once felt uncompromising

This is relational medicine reminding you that help comes to you through connection and that you are not alone.
