The Aquarius Full Moon August 9 brings a jolt of cosmic electricity—illuminating truth, awakening vision, and pulling back the curtain on collective and/or personal illusions. You may not love what you see at first… but just wait - you’ll love what it frees up.

What was set into motion at the Aquarius New Moon earlier this year is now coming to a head. Themes centered around innovation, group dynamics, your identity within a community, and the systems you choose to align with are up for review. The choices you made then may be showing fruit—or friction—now. 

The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon is “A man unmasked.” So yes, as I said in my last Lunar forecast: let the masks fall- and they are. It’s time to see things—and people—for what and who they truly are. Pretenses no longer hold. Spells are being broken, and Inauthenticity is being deprogrammed and maybe even deplatformed in real time.

You’re also being asked to own what’s been hiding under your mask, too. Time to get real and come clean. 

⚡ Ruling Planet: Uranus in Gemini

Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, has recently moved into Gemini’s airspace and is highly activated under this lunation. It forms a complex Kite configuration with Mars in Libra, Pluto in Aquarius, and the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Aries—a rare and potent alignment that hums in the background like cosmic machinery.

It’s as if this energetic pattern is operating in its own dimension, weaving the collective tapestry while linking personal breakthroughs to larger societal shifts - As everyone is at their own stage in this Collective Awakening. What starts as a spark of insight or a conversation today may ripple outward, seeding transformation in the collective storyline. Everyone plays a role in what’s unfolding.   

There’s nothing subtle about this energy. We’re talking about volatile brilliance, explosive information, groundbreaking ideas, paradigm shifts in media and communications, sudden revelations in relationships, and a deep rewiring of power structures on both personal and collective levels. It’s all happening in real time real quick. 

Mars in Libra is stirring the pot—riling up the polite facades and pushing conversations that some would rather avoid. Mars in Libra doesn’t always play nice - but it does want to even things up, negotiate and make deals. It doesn’t mind being the instigator, initiator or agitator, but it can also seek out others to collab with. While Mars opposes Saturn and Neptune in Aries, bringing a push-pull dynamic between idealism and realism. You may feel torn between bold action and cautious hesitation. This is that “hurry up and wait” kind of energy. But patience here isn't punishment—it’s protection so practice the pause and take a breath. This is more about making inspired and intentional moves with the right people at the right time.   

Uranus aligning with Mars and Pluto gives this Full Moon a futuristic kickstart energy. Think: quick-moving conversations, viral information, and the sudden breakdown of long-held outlooks or expectations, even ones that have been close to your heart or that you’ve closely identified with. Social networks, political activism, humanitarian organizations, collective intelligence, and reorganized systems are all hot topics now.

At the same time, Saturn’s involvement insists that we take responsibility for our visions as well as our illusions and delusions. No airy fantasies here—we’re building structures that can hold your wildest and weirdest ideas. This Full Moon in Aquarius is helping to awaken and engineer our new world. 

🦉 Wisdom and Strategy: Enter Pallas Athena

The asteroid goddess Pallas Athena is very prominent during this Lunation as she’s closely connected with this Full Moon. She brings strategic intelligence, pattern recognition, and political savvy. Her presence here says: don't just react—observe, analyze, and act with calculated wisdom. This is about using your higher mind, envisioning the bigger picture and being 10 moves ahead.

Pallas + Aquarius = a call to innovate with heart and mind aligned and has a strong sense of Justice for Humanity.  If you’ve been wanting more involvement with activism, tech, or as a thought leader, this Moon could catalyze your role.

There’s a strong mental and energetic charge to this lunation due to all of the Fire and Air energies. It may feel unsettling as things seem to accelerate and move along quickly. Ground yourself with practices that calm the nervous system. Get outdoors -out into nature-feet touching the Earth, hug a tree and make space for quiet, even if the outer world is chaotic- which it will be. Use extra discernment in what media you consume or share—and what you give your attention to. Your energy is the currency of the Universe. 

🔥 Under the Surface: Lilith, Vesta, and Juno in Scorpio

While the Aquarius Full Moon may dazzle with higher vision, inspiration and mental breakthroughs, there’s also something deeper, darker, and far more ancient brewing beneath the surface.

That’s thanks to a potent activation from Black Moon Lilith, Vesta, and Juno—all gathered in Scorpio. This trio doesn’t play nice. It plays real.

Expect themes of power, sex, trust, betrayal, and emotional intensity to bubble up. Lilith brings untamed feminine energy—unapologetic, raw and unfiltered with no fucks given. Vesta adds sacred devotion, spiritual fire and sacrifice. Juno rules committed partnerships, soul contracts, deep bonds and the fine line between union and ensnarement.

Together, in Scorpio bringing about boiling-point intimacy, shadow work in relationships, and a call to salvage sovereignty in love and sex. This may stir up unhealed wounds around closeness, ignite passion or jealousy, or bring taboo truths to the surface. Affairs could be revealed. Sexual complexes or kinks might be explored—or exposed. For some, it may signal a time for therapy, counseling, boundary setting, or courageous conversations about needs and desires that have long been buried or ignored.

This energy isn’t here to destroy—it’s here to liberate. To strip away the performance, perfectionism and illusion that keeps relationships at surface level. This phase may serve to reveal and expose what’s been hidden and what needs to be healed.
