Gemini New Moon

✂️ Cutting the Noise

The Gemini New Moon June 14th brings a fresh perspective, a shift in mindset, or even a change in the way you understand a situation.  Over the last several months, you may have become more and more aware of certain patterns, beliefs, assumptions, and narratives that have been quietly operating in the background of your life. Like software running behind the scenes, these stories can influence your choices, reactions, expectations, and perceptions. Much of it operates on autopilot without you even realizing it.

Some of these narratives may have originated through:

  • 🏡 Family conditioning
  • 🕰️ Past experiences
  • 🌎 Cultural expectations
  • 🎓 Educational systems
  • 📡 Collective narratives
  • 🔄 Stories you've repeated so many times they've become "facts"

But as your awareness grows, you’re beginning to discover that some of those stories no longer fit who you are becoming. In some cases, you may even realize they were never entirely true for you in the first place. It’s as if someone slapped a label on you early on and you’ve been wearing it so long that you believed it belonged to you.

This Gemini New Moon offers an opportunity to consciously examine the stories looping through your mind and ask whether they’re still relevant, useful, or aligned with the person you are today.  Some stories may need serious revisions, while others can be scrapped altogether. This creates space for new possibilities and new perspectives as new ways of thinking begin to show up.

This isn't necessarily about learning something new. It may be more about seeing something familiar from a totally different perspective.

The Sabian symbol for this New Moon is, "a man trimming palms" — suggesting a process of careful pruning and refinement.

Under this lunation, you may find yourself trimming back:

  • ✂️ Outdated beliefs
  • 🧱 Limiting assumptions
  • 🌿 Mental clutter
  • 🔁 Repetitive thought loops & distractions
  • 📖 Narratives that keep you stuck in an old version of yourself

This lunation insists that you remove what’s overgrown and outdated in your mindset. Just as a gardener discards excess growth so that a plant can thrive, this New Moon encourages you to clear away the thoughts and stories that no longer support your growth.

This symbolism feels especially significant now that Uranus has recently entered Gemini.

⚡ Breakthroughs, Downloads & New Perspectives ⚡

Uranus is the great awakener, associated with breakthroughs, innovation, higher awareness and out of the blue insights. Wisdom often arrives all at once, like a lightning bolt illuminating the scenery in a flash. And in Gemini — it’s about seeing things from an entirely new angle. Stagnant thinking is confronted, contested and challenged while you’re encouraged to question what’s been taken for granted as being so.

In many ways, Uranus can be seen as a higher octave of Mercury, the planetary ruler of this Gemini New Moon, operating on a broader and more visionary level.

Uranus here changes the way information is received — it awakens the mind to new possibilities, bringing unconventional perspectives, and connections that may have been missed or gone unnoticed before. Some may suddenly sense that they’re becoming more intuitive, receiving sudden insights, recognizing patterns more quickly, or experiencing intuitive downloads—moments where understanding arrives instantly and fully formed without a logical step-by-step process. It’s like somehow you just know.

While Uranus is not directly aspecting this New Moon, this is the first Gemini lunation occurring with Uranus in Gemini in nearly 84 years.

There is something symbolic about that. It feels as though this New Moon opens the door to a new chapter, acting as a Cosmic Emissary introducing a cycle that will unfold over the next several years.  There’s a nudge to question old assumptions, remain curious, free your mind and be willing to write a new narrative when the old one no longer reflects the reality you wish to experience — as the stories we tell ourselves often become the reality we experience.  Growth isn’t always about adding something more — sometimes it requires you to remove what is no longer true.

🌳 Tracing the Roots

Mercury, the ruler of this Gemini New Moon, is moving through Cancer, adding an emotional layer to the mix. Cancer governs memory, family, roots, conditioning, and the emotional experiences that mold and shape us early on.  You could be reflecting on old conversations and exchanges, revisiting old familiar stories and memories, even ones passed down through generations. For some, Mercury here can carry clues to a current situation by looking to the past.

There’s also a supportive connection to Mars in Taurus and you may be looking more closely at repeated behaviors and habits that have become automatic. Under the surface, you could discover that some of these patterns are linked to a need for safety, stability, acceptance or a sense of belonging. As your perspective shifts, you may begin to recognize that some of your choices have been driven by your sense of self-worth — or lack of — and the need to prove yourself, protect yourself or even earn your place.  As you question, edit and release these old narratives, you create space for something new to come forward — give yourself permission to write a story that authentically reflects who you truly are.

❤️ A Heart Check

As the New Moon approaches, Venus in Cancer and Chiron in Aries have it out, calling attention to old wounds around belonging, emotional safety, acceptance, family ties, and self-worth. This influence could bring awareness of places where you’ve been playing small or where some old story you’ve been telling yourself is no longer fitting. Although it may not be a totally painless process, it serves a purpose.

Then, on the heels of this New Moon, Venus moves into Leo and immediately begins a series of conversations with the outer planets.

This is noteworthy for sure: Venus is the ruler of Taurus; the sign Uranus has been shaking awake since 2018. For the past seven years many of us have been redefining our relationship with money, values, security, self-worth, relationships, enjoyment, satisfaction and what truly matters.  During that period, you may have outgrown certain comforts, attachments, styles, attractions or even old versions of yourself.  What you were once drawn to may have lost its appeal as you discover what’s genuinely worthwhile.

As Venus meets Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in a rather rapid succession the days following the New Moon, presenting opportunities to reconnect with parts of yourself that were lost, hidden, or waiting for permission to exist.

Creativity, love, joy, self-expression, the inner child and even visibility become part of the Cosmic conversation.

This could show up through exciting new connections, stimulating conversations, creative breakthroughs, or encounters that shift your perspective in unexpected ways. There can be a desire to break free from old relational dynamics, dull routines, or expectations that have kept you boxed in. You’re more willing to be experimental, take chances and express yourself in ways that may seem out of character.

Venus continues on, forming a flowing trine to Neptune in Aries, inviting you to reconnect with your imagination, creativity, intuition, personal vision and the things that truly move your heart. You may feel inspired by new possibilities, a new self-image, new dreams or a new version of an old dream that are beginning to take shape now.

Then Venus meets Pluto in Aquarius head on, adding depth, intensity, and a degree of brutal honesty that’s somewhat unavoidable. Relationships, friendships, audiences, communities, and social dynamics may reveal underlying power dynamics, attachments, fears, or desires. Attractions can feel magnetic while emotions could run deeper than expected, even taking you by surprise. Connections that seem random or coincidental could feel fated, while cracks are exposed in those that no longer have a solid foundation.

Venus in Leo wants to love wholeheartedly and express itself authentically while Pluto doesn’t give a fuck about performance for the sake of appearances — and will ensure that you know the difference between genuine self-expression vs. seeking validation.

This series of Venus conversations with the heavy hitters may reveal  how much has changed over these last several years — what you value, your sense of self-worth, how you relate to others, what you’re attracting or attracted to, and what you’re available for and open to receive, and most importantly — what you’re no longer willing to settle for.

Be Conscious. Be Curious. Be Connected to YOU.
